By downloading, installing, or using the RentFair mobile application or website (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service. The Service is operated by Andrew Felikian ("we," "our," or "us").

Description of Service

RentFair is a rent fairness analysis platform that helps renters understand how their rent compares to similar units in their area. The Service provides:

• Rent Fairness Scores based on comparable rental listings
• AI-generated insights and negotiation email drafts
• Rental law summaries for educational purposes
• Rent trend data and market information
• Affordability calculations

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED FOR INFORMATIONAL AND EDUCATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY. NOTHING IN THE SERVICE CONSTITUTES LEGAL, FINANCIAL, REAL ESTATE, OR PROFESSIONAL ADVICE OF ANY KIND. THE RENT FAIRNESS SCORE, MARKET DATA, RENTAL LAW SUMMARIES, AND NEGOTIATION EMAIL DRAFTS ARE PROVIDED FOR GENERAL INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES AND SHOULD NOT BE RELIED UPON AS A SUBSTITUTE FOR PROFESSIONAL ADVICE.

Rental law information is generated by AI and may not reflect the most current laws in your jurisdiction. Always consult a licensed attorney for legal advice regarding your specific situation.

No Guarantee of Accuracy

We strive to provide accurate and up-to-date information, but we make no representations or warranties of any kind, express or implied, regarding the accuracy, completeness, reliability, or suitability of the information provided by the Service, including but not limited to:

• Rent Fairness Scores and comparable data
• Market rent estimates and trends
• Rental law summaries
• AI-generated negotiation emails

Comparable rental data is sourced from publicly available listings and may not reflect all available units or current market conditions. Scores are based on available data at the time of analysis and may change as market conditions change.

Eligibility and Accounts

You must be at least 18 years of age to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent that you are at least 18 years old.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any commercial purpose without our prior written consent
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any portion of the Service
• Use the Service to collect or harvest data about other users
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the Service
• Use the Service in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations
• Impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity

Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Andrew Felikian and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works of any portion of the Service without our prior written consent.

The RentFair name, logo, and brand are the property of Andrew Felikian. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right to use our trademarks or branding.

In-App Purchases

The Service offers optional in-app purchases processed through Apple's App Store. All purchases are subject to Apple's payment terms and policies. We do not store your payment information. Third-Party Services

The Service integrates with third-party services including Google Firebase, Supabase, Anthropic, Google Maps, Rentcast, and Bright Data. Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms of service and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices of these third parties.

Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS WITHOUT ANY WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS.

Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, ANDREW FELIKIAN SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIMS ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR $100, WHICHEVER IS GREATER.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Andrew Felikian from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of another party.

Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, for any reason, including if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease.

Apple App Store Additional Terms

If you downloaded the Service from the Apple App Store, the following additional terms apply:

• These Terms are between you and Andrew Felikian, not Apple Inc.
• Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the Service
• Apple is not responsible for any claims relating to the Service, including product liability claims, consumer protection claims, or intellectual property infringement claims
• Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and have the right to enforce them against you
• You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo and are not on any U.S. Government prohibited or restricted party list

Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the American Arbitration Association's Consumer Arbitration Rules, conducted in Orange County, California. You waive any right to participate in a class action lawsuit or class-wide arbitration.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
